Tasmanian Braddon independent MP Craig Garland says he has tested positive for cannabis at a roadside drug test.
Mr Garland, a former commercial fisherman who was elected to state parliament as an independent at March's election, told ABC Radio he had undergone a tongue-scrape test last Friday.
He was then asked to give an additional saliva sample, which he said had been "sent off" for testing.
