Italian-born artist Eleonora Pulcini has exhibited her works all around the world, but at her Tasmanian gallery there's a catch. She doesn't let her customers buy a thing.
Artist Eleonora PulcinI has opened a new gallery in Launceston's Quadrant Mall after successful, sell-out shows.Italian-born artist Eleonora Pulcini has exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, but it is in Launceston's Quadrant Mall that she has opened a new gallery after making Tasmania home.
Born in Rome, Pulcini began painting at age six, learning her skills at an oil painting course with Maestro Vittorio Comez."But that became quite expensive for my family to support. So, I sort of put it to the side," Pulcini said. "So, I pushed back my return ticket to Melbourne and travelled around Tasmania and of course fell in love with it. How could I not? It's one of the wonders of the world."Pulcini's scientific knowledge, love for philosophy, the study of colours, shadows and geometry have a place in her paintings or in their conception.
"Tasmania is a truly inspiring place for artists, as Eleonora demonstrates through her vibrant and beautiful landscape works," Minister Archer said.
