Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff has announced during his address at the 2024 Bush Summit in Launceston the Tasmania government will provide further funding to King and Flinders Islands Primary Producers - Seasonal Conditions Scheme.
Mr Rockliff headlined day three of the 2024 Bush Summit in Launceston, focusing on rural industries and technology in Australia 's southernmost state.
“I'm pleased to announce today that next month's budget will contain further funding to extend our Primary Producers Seasonal Condition Scheme,” Mr Rockliff said. “It's support that was tailored to meet the needs of those doing it tough. Tailored through sitting alongside farmers at the kitchen table, walking the paddocks in the community forums and delivered in partnership with organisations such as TAS Farmers, Rural Business Tasmania, Rural Live, TAS Farm Innovation Hub, and of course, cross-agency support.
“Ultimately, what regional Tasmanians want is job security. And that's what we will be delivering in our upcoming budget. They will provide $13 million for jobs Tasmania and the Regional Jobs Hub Network.”
