come with a preconceived opinion about which brand made the best almond butter, but after compiling their feedback on 10 samples, my favorite still came out on top—well, sort of. You see, there was one other brand that actually scored the top spot, but it comes with a catch. I'll explain more about that in a minute, but first, the fine print:We chose only unsalted, unsweetened almond butters for this particular taste test.
If a little cashew in your almond butter doesn't bother you, this one has a brightness of flavor that wasn't present in the other samples. It was rich and toasty, with a barely perceivable bitterness that gives it a nice, clean finish on the palate. It was smooth in texture with a slight toothsomeness that we really liked for the prospect of spreading over a rice cake or addingtexture to a nut butter and jelly sandwich.
