Taxpayers Affected By Hurricane Ida Will Get Automatic Relief Via ForbesAdvisor

The Internal Revenue Service announced that people in Louisiana, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania affected by the hurricane, which made landfall south of New Orleans as a Category 4 storm on Aug. 26, will have until Jan. 3 to file applicable returns.The deadline applies to quarterly estimated tax payments for individuals and businesses , along with quarterly payroll and excise tax returns due Nov. 1.
