The pair exchanged pleasantries in a short interaction before Canelo Alvarez was beaten by Dmitry Bivol
Katie Taylor and Canelo Alvarez have both engaged in two of the most talked about fights of the year, but for different reasons.This was only the second loss of Canelo’s 61-fight career, having been beaten by Floyd Mayweather Jr back in 2013Canelo and Taylor are both undisputed champions in their respective weight classes, as she recovered from almost being stopped in round five, to battle to a split decision victory over Amanda Serrano.
Canelo had some kind words for Taylor saying her fight with Serrano was the ‘Fight of the Year’ across both men’s and women’s boxing. The conversation finished with Canelo inviting Taylor down to his gym and she graciously accepted, describing the opportunity as a ‘dream’.
