Climate 200-backed MP Zoe Daniel has revealed her confidence in Labor's 43 per cent emissions reduction bill has 'increased' following conversations with Climate Change and Energy Minster Chris Bowen.
Labor’s climate bill has been criticised by the Greens who want to see a 75 per cent reduction in emissions by 2030 and a ban on all future coal and gas projects, while the Climate 200-backed MPs including Ms Daniel have supported a 60 per cent reduction target.

The Labor Government has been in conversations with the Greens and the crossbench prior to the bill being presented to the House with the hopes of striking a necessary deal to pass the legislation.
“I don’t know about disappointing my supporters, I think my supporters would be more disappointed if we spent the next six months arguing over what the target should be rather than actually making progress on this,” she said.
