Eira Dalzell, a 15-year-old from Loxton, South Australia, is gearing up to represent Australia in the 2025 Disabled Water Ski World Championships following a severe waterskiing accident three years ago. Despite sustaining injuries that permanently damaged her hand, Eira has persevered, making significant adjustments to her technique and competing at a high level.
Fifteen-year-old Eira Dalzell, who lost some of her fingers in a boating accident three years ago, will be representing Australia at the 2025 Disabled Water Ski World Championships next year. The accident on the Murray River in 2021 involved her being pulled under the family boat, resulting in damage to her leg and fingers on her left hand.
However, through extensive rehabilitation and adjustments to her technique, Eira has made a remarkable recovery and is now preparing to compete internationally
