Houston police investigate a fatal shooting at the 11600 block of Wood Shadows Drive near Centerwood on July 29, 2022.on a road in Houston’s Northshore neighborhood, but is not believed to be the shooter.
The teenager, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, has been charged with capital murder in connection with the death of Marisela Castro, 39, according to Houston Police Department. But because the teenager was 16, the case has been filed in juvenile courts. Police did not specify what role the teen played in the killing.Castro was shot around 1:45 a.m. July 29 in the 11600 block of Wood Shadows Drive near Centerwood, police said.
Investigators found video showing Castro exit a vehicle with another person after it parked, officials said. The person then shot Castro and left in her vehicle. Video shows at least one other person inside the vehicle. Both people then abandoned the vehicle not far from the shooting scene and left on foot, officials said.
