A North Queensland mother has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her 17-year-old daughter six times in the chest, before turning the knife on herself.
“The police officer is okay and didn’t require any medical treatment,” Inspector Novosel said
On Monday night she was charged with attempted murder in a domestic violence setting, common assault and serious assault of a police officer. A 20-year-old man believed to be a friend of the victim was also injured in the alleged attack, but not with a knife.“He intervened and was assaulted by the suspect” Inspector Novosel said.Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
