A man has been charged as a 19-year-old fights for his life in hospital after falling from the roof of a moving car. Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives charged another 19-year-old man from Glen Iris with dangerous driving causing serious injury.The driver of the vehicle was released on bail to appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on May 7.According to the Herald Sun, feathers, believed to be from the young man’s jacket, were strewn along the bitumen indicating the high impact at which the teenager hit the road.

Five men were reportedly on board the Nissan Patrol when the incident occurred, with a police spokesperson confirming investigators spoke to “numerous people” at the scene.Detective Sergeant Stephen Hill told 7NEWS falling from a vehicle onto “quite hard bitumen” was a “recipe for disaster”. “If it turns out the victim was on the outside of the vehicle, it represents some really bad choices … and it’s an extremely dangerous exercise,” he said.
