More than a dozen children are dead after a former student stormed into an elementary school and opened fire in the US state of Texas on Tuesday morning.
The suspected shooter, believed to be an 18-year-old, was fatally shot by law enforcement agencies who rushed to the scene within minutes of receiving 911 calls from Robb Elementary, about 135 kilometres southwest of Antonio.

Governor Abbott indicated early reports suggest he was armed with a handgun and"may have also had a rifle".
A further 13 students were rushed to surrounding hospitals, according to a Facebook statement from Uvalde Hospital CEO Tom Nordwick.
