Terrible incident
On Sunday morning , police were called at 7.01am to reports that a teenager had fallen from a building. The incident happened on Church Street in the city centre.
Emergency services attended the scene and the teenage boy, aged 16, was found with serious head injuries. He was then taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.Lancashire Constabulary have informed LancsLive that the incident has been investigated. Officers are satisfied that the fall was accidental and there was no third-party involvement.
North West Ambulance Service said they sent an ambulance and two rapid response units to the incident with the teen taken to A&E. A police spokesperson said: “We were called to Church Street, Preston, at 7.01am on August 6 to reports a teenager had fallen from a building. Emergency services attended and found the teenage boy with serious head injuries.
"He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. The incident has been investigated and we are satisfied the fall was accidental and there was no third-party involvement.”
