The crash took place on the M73 last week
The Glasgow Times previously reported that two vehicles had collided on the M73 northbound near the Gartcosh junction on Saturday, January 28 at around 1.30pm.The incident also saw a 62-year-old man taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and later released pending further enquiries. Constable Paul Mallon, Lanarkshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Sophie’s family and friends at this difficult time and we ask that their privacy is respected. “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may have information which could assist to contact officers.”Share
