Teacher stabbing not terrorism related but motivation unclear, say police Gloucestershire Police give update on incident at Tewkesbury Academy
We have just heard from a parent of a Tewkesbury School pupil, who says a teacher barricaded the door of his daughter's classroom to keep the pupils safe.He tells BBC reporters at the scene it was a"big scary affair" to be told of the alleged stabbing via text message."She was so brave, she took it really well," he says."They were all frightened and scared but my daughter has been absolutely fantastic.
Describing the footage, he says the teacher sat by the door and barricaded it by placing boxes in front of the entrance.He kept"everyone cool - even though he must have been scared himself".
