Playing with fire is alleged to have led to disastrous consequences at a South Australian holiday home, where a teenager was reportedly hitting golf balls that were set alight before the entire two-storey property went up in flames."It was huge, you could hear the banging of explosions and the big pile of smoke in the air," witness Amanda Bubner said.The alarm was first raised at the Bristow Smith Avenue home at about 9:30 last night.

Neighbours say they ran from their homes to see if they needed to help the group of young men who'd been staying there but they all managed to get out safely. A 19-year-old from New South Wales has been charged with arson, with the court describing the fire as a disastrous end to a silly mistake. The teenager was granted bail while the owners of the property have been left to survey the damage, which is estimated to reach beyond $800,000.
