The man, 19, was behind the wheel of a stolen car in Frankston, south-east Melbourne, when officers tried to stop the car at about 1.15am today, police say.

It's alleged the Holden Commodore, which had South Australian number plates, sped away from police and a chase ensued, resulting in helicopters being brought in to assist.READ MORE:Police allege the car was detected doing speeds of up to 200km/h as it headed through several Melbourne suburbs. A passenger then allegedly got out of the car in Mulgrave and the Holden was dumped in an industrial estate.Police used stop sticks however the driver continued even after a tyre was shredded.Police caught up with the 19-year-old as he attempted to jump a fence. Helicopter vision of the wild pursuit shows the man allegedly trying to escape police by climbing over a fence into the train station.
Footage of the man getting stuck in the fence before officers caught up with him was released by Victoria Police.He is expected to be charged with seven offences, including dangerous driving while being pursued by police and theft of two cars.
