A young teenage boy has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries after he was hit in the head during a hammer-throwing accident at Clearview.

Paramedics were called to St Albans Reserve at Clearview just before 5pm on Tuesday evening following reports a 13-year-old boy had sustained critical head injuries.A South Australian Ambulance Service spokesperson said the boy was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to the Women's and Children's Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
