Grace has since been given the all-clear from cancer 🥳
She desperately needed a stem cell transplant but her family, from Motherwell, were only half matches.Grace turned to the Anthony Nolan register for help, which tracked down a 20-year-old woman in Germany who was a perfect match.
She was then given the heart-breaking diagnosis last July after a biopsy at the University Hospital Monklands discovered her acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. However she still continued to need chemo, which tragically turned her hands and feet numb, leaving her unable to walk.Now since she has stopped treatment she has been able to regain her mobility and only relies on her wheelchair for long walks.
