BREAKING: Brianna Ghey suspects to be held for extra 30 hours as police investigate whether her death was a 'hate crime'
Police have confirmed that they are exploring whether the killing of Brianna Ghey was a 'hate crime', as they continue to question two suspects in relation to her death.
Brianna was transgender, but police said on Sunday that 'at this time, there is no evidence to suggest the circumstances surrounding Brianna's death are hate related'. Today they have said that "all lines of enquiry are being explored, including whether this was a hate crime." However, the force asked people to "avoid speculation online and be wary of sharing misinformation relating to this case".
