Four teenagers involved in a string of armed robberies across Queensland have been charged with the state's police commissioner describing the escalation as 'very concerning'.

Queensland Police alleged a boy armed with a firearm entered a service station on Gardiner Road in Holmview about 3.30am on Sunday.

“It will be further alleged at approximately 3.35am, a boy armed with a gun stole the cash register from a Juers Road service station in Kingston before leaving in the same car,” police said in a statement.Three hours later, the group was again involved in an alleged armed robbery of a café on Alexandria Street in Ascot before travelling back towards the Gold Coast.

Picture: Steve Pohlner The blue Audi was spotted travelling south along the Pacific Motorway near Coomera about 9.30am before it allegedly smashed into the back of a Mazda on Foxwell Road shortly later. The stolen car then sped off with police able to use a tyre deflation device to force it to stop about 10am along George Street in Logan.A Woodridge man, 18, was charged with armed robbery in company and will front court on Monday.
