Manchester United are considering a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch before transfer deadline day.
Manchester United have 72 hours to rubber-stamp any transfers and a late swoop for Ryan Gravenberch could address one problem already flagged-up by Gary Neville this season.
Even before Mount was struck down there were measures put in place to further strengthen the engine room. United are still considering a move for Gravenberch before the 11pm deadline passes on Friday night. Speaking about the club's midfield options following victory over Wolves in the curtain raiser, United hero turned pundit Neville said: "We spoke in pre-season about how Mount and [Bruno] Fernandes were playing so high-up in those No.10 positions that Casemiro was being left all on his own. That can't be allowed to happen as no team can leave a defensive midfielder on their own."
A goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker were Erik ten Hag's priorities heading into the summer window, but that doesn't mean their business ends here, with further incomings and outgoings still on the cards..
