Two Delta Airlines planes collided on a runway at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, leaving hundreds of passengers onboard terrified.
An Airbus A350 carrying 221 customers was en route from Atlanta to Tokyo-Haneda at about 10am on Tuesday when it collided with Endeavor Air CRJ-900, carrying 56 passengers.Both the larger plane and regional jet suffered damage, with footage from the scene revealing the smaller plane's tail was completely ripped off.
The pilot can be heard probing what happened in dramatic Air Traffic Control audio from the incident. “Meanwhile Delta is cooperating with the NTSB and other authorities while Delta TechOps teams prepare to safely move both aircraft to maintenance hangars."
