The big, bold signage will read ‘reduced in price, just as nice’ meaning that it will be much for easier cash strapped shoppers to spot discounted products.
Underneath the signage will be yellow stickered products, which are products that are either close to their sell-by date or have been discontinued, and have therefore been reduced in price. Items often have hefty discounts, sometimes up to 80% off, and many products can be frozen, meaning you can bulk buy deals and save them for a later date.The new signs will help shoppers locate bargains
Tesco group quality, technical and sustainability director Claire Lorains said: “At Tesco, we have no time for food waste and we do everything we can to reduce it. ‘Our customers are always on the lookout for great value food, and our rebranded ‘reduced in price, just as nice’ signage makes it easier than ever to spot a short-dated and top-quality bargain.’
