FCAI chief executive Tony Weber said the sales results in January were the best since 2018 and showed the automotive industry was steadily recovering from the supply chain disruptions and delays which had been curbing production levels in the past.The Tesla Model 3 was the third highest selling vehicle of all players in Australia in January.“This is the first time a pure battery electric model has been ranked so highly,” Mr Weber said.
The Mazda CX-3 was in fourth spot with 2,417, followed by stablemate, Mazda CX-5 with 2,189. The MG-ZS, which has petrol-powered models and also an electric version, was at No.8 with sales of 1,842.
