Tesla raises prices on 'Full Self-Driving' software.
claims that the company's current price will be honored until the increase officially goes into effect on September 5th, even if those orders are delivered later. As this is Tesla and the announcement was made entirely on the CEO's Twitter account, there are no other details at this time.
Notably, a price change has not been mentioned for the company's subscription Full Self-Driving plan. At the moment, that costs $199 a month. While the purchase price of the feature went up by $2,000 in January of this year, the subscription price has not moved since it launched in 2021. During the same period, the purchase price has increased by 50%.
