House Republicans in the majority are eager to investigate the Biden administration through the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.

PUBLISHED 1:43 PM CST Feb. 17, 2023WASHINGTON — After years of control by the Democrats, Republicans are now in the majority in the U.S. House and are eager to investigate the Biden administration through the powerful House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. As Texas Republican members on the committee ramp up investigations, two new progressives from the Lone Star State are now on the front lines to counterattack the GOP.

“We're going to need oil and gas for a much longer period of time, so if we're concerned about the environment, which we all are, and if we're concerned about a warming climate, what we should be doing is looking for viable solutions. Nuclear energy is one of those,” Fallon said. There have already been a few contentious hearings, one recently featuring Twitter executives about blocking a New York Post story about Hunter Biden. So what do Texas Democrats on the committee think of the Republican-led hearings so far?

“Having Greg and I work in tandem together means there are very strong voices, number one for young people, as well as for progressives, and we come from different parts of the state. But the one thing that rings clear is that we're both in safe Democratic seats, which allows us to be bolder,” Crockett said.
