Both the federal agency and the McAllen Police Department are investigating the incident at Sharyland North Jr. High School in McAllen, according to the television station KRGV.The officer reportedly had his phone hooked up to a projector for a presentation at the school, the McAllen Police Department said.A spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection told KRGV that the officer was at the school for an outreach event.
“CBP stresses professionalism, honor and integrity and does not tolerate actions by any employee that would tarnish the agency’s reputation,” spokesman Roderick Kise said.
