Thanos #1 is written by Christopher Cantwell and drawn by Luca Pizzari. Thanos has returned to Earth, using his mighty power to scoop the city of Fresno, California out of the ground. He has encased the city in a protective bubble and is drawing it towards his ship, parked in orbit. Meanwhile, as Fresno collapses into anarchy, a young woman, clad in black and with jet-black hair, is laid out in the vitamin aisle of a supermarket. The woman seemingly has a connection to Thanos.
