Topher Grace loved the That70sShow reunion on the That90sShow set 😍 'It was like going home for Christmas to see your whole family... It was a gift. They are all such amazing, amazing people who are so influential in my life and who I became.'
Topher Grace opens up about the heartwarming reunion he shared with his That '70s Show co-stars while filming spinoff series That ’90s Show. Starring Callie Haverda as Eric Foreman and Donna Pinciotti's teenage daughter, That '90s Show is set in Point Place, Wisconsin, just like the original series, though in 1995 rather than the 1970s. When the series was first announced by Netflix, Eric's parents Kitty and Red were the only original cast members set to appear.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Though the series is rightfully centered on a new generation of Point Place teens, having the original stars in the mix will help bridge the gap between the shows and attract original fans. Some original stars only appeared as guest stars in the final season of That '70s Show and only reported spending a week on the new set, so it's not likely that the actors will have very long stints in the spinoff series.
If Home Economics has a family feeling that was kind of the same but it was a family reunion. It was like going home for Christmas to see your whole family. It really was like Christmas. It was a gift. They are all such amazing, amazing people who are so influential in my life and who I became. To be able to go back and not just hang out with them together, which was so much fun, but then to be able to work again with them... it was great. And I can't wait for people to see it.
Grace isn't the only one who was so touched to be able to relive the nostalgia of That '70s Show, with Kutcher and Kunis, who met on the set and later married, previously mentioning having a great time while reprising their roles in the spinoff. It's touching to see Grace, who was such a crucial part of the original series and still enjoys a heartwarming relationship with his on-screen parents, express that it felt like "Christmas" to go back to that world.
Grace's comment about the cast reunion feeling like the family coming back together is fitting, since the premise of the series is that Eric's daughter Leia goes to Point Place, Wisconsin to spend the summer with her grandparents. The spinoff will be able to deliver nostalgia on multiple levels, offering hints of the original That '70s Show with its location at the Foreman household and original cast appearances, as well as plenty of '90s references.
