Rumours have resurfaced around the Liberal Cabinet minister at the centre of the explosive 'complete psycho' text exchange about former Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
In February 2022, Ten’s Peter Van Onselen asked Mr Morrison about alleged text messages between former New South Wales premier Gladys Berejiklian and a Liberal Cabinet minister. The National Press Club question startled Mr Morrison who disagreed with the comments, stating: “I obviously don’t agree with it, and I don’t think that’s my record.”
Paul Fletcher denied being the then-cabinet minister responsible for the text messages labelling Scott Morrison a"complete psycho". Picture: Getty ImagesHe denied ever speaking to Ms Sava - author of Bulldozed: Scott Morrison’s Fall and Anthony Albanese’s Rise - or the Network Ten journalist who claimed to have seen the text messages.
Ms Berejiklian was also quick to issue a statement that said she had “no recollection of such messages”, putting her support behind Mr Morrison. Mr Fletcher confirmed that he would not sue Ms Savva over the comments as he remained focused on his job of “delivering outcomes”.
