The 1975 singer paid tribute to Lewis during their headline set on Saturday.
The 1975 frontman Matty Healy sent a message of support to Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi during the band's headlining set at Reading Festival on Saturday night.
Due to this, Matty and the rest of The 1975 were signed up to fill this slot, and they paid tribute to the star who is taking some time out. He added: "When Lewis decided to take a well-deserved and well-needed break, that left this slot open and it’s been 10 years since we put out our debut album." Lewis released his second album, Broken By Desire to be Heavenly Sent, earlier this year, but has been struggling during performances due to his anxiety and Tourette's syndrome.
