“I do not support the war, but I think the culprit of what is happening in Ukraine is the United States,” says Dmitry, 38. “American politics has long been aimed at weakening Russia in every possible way. Putin is not at war with the people of Ukraine, but against the government that the Americans have placed in Kyiv.”

For Dmitry, Ukraine should look east, not west. It should be “an autonomous part” of Russia that Moscow “will support and develop”, he says.
