Farms are dotted across the Yorkshire landscape with their golden fields and herds of cattle and sheep. Every so often, the farmers all get together in farmer's markets and some of the very best can be found right here in Yorkshire.
Cottingham won the title of Best Small Outdoor Market, seeing off some fierce competition. The traditional council-run market, which was originally established by a Royal Charter dating back to the 13th century, remains hugely popular with local residents and continues to draw large numbers every Thursday.
On the third Sunday of the month, between 9am and 3pm, the village square fills with stalls selling all sorts of farm goods. Headingley Farmer's Market Also in Leeds, the Headingley Farmer's Market runs on the second Saturday of every month and has more than 20 stalls. There is also music from local bands and games for children.
