Opened in 1912, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal was the first hotel in Canada to fly the Ritz-Carlton banner. It underwent a $200 million restoration in 2012, updating the décor to blend modern comfort while preserving classic features like the original façade, lobby, Palm Court, Oval Room and the hotel’s famed interior garden and fish pond. The 98 rooms and 31 suites have also retained some of the original details such as the marble fireplaces.
