AppleTV+ is getting two new movies this September, one a documentary about an inspiring Hollywood talent and the other about a beer run for the ages.
While Apple TV+ may not possess the sheer volume of cinematic offerings that you’ll find on platforms like Netflix and Hulu, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have its share of terrific movies. In fact, with films like CODA nabbing the Best Picture Oscar, Apple TV+ may actually be one of the greatest streaming services for indulging in top-notch movies.
In terms of releases, some months are still a bit quiet. But two new movies are landing on the platform this September — director Reginald Hudlin’s arresting documentary Sidney and Peter Farrelly’s adaptation of The Greatest Beer Run Ever , starring Zac Efron as Chick Donohue, an American trying to get some drinkables to his enlisted buds during the heat of the Vietnam War.
