She’s the animated dog who was the lone NSW supporter in the children’s seriesActor and comedian Anna Daniels voiced Janelle, the Blues-loving labrador retriever in an episode of the popular cartoon that aired last week in the lead-up to Sunday night’s State of Origin Game II.The episode, called “The Decider”, showed two families split over their support of the Blues and the Maroons in a game announced by retired commentary legend Ray Warren.
Now residing in Sydney, Daniels said she knows what it’s like to go against the crowd when supporting her team.The episode features the quintessentially Australian experience of “half-time pizzas, the kick of the footy in the backyard, and screaming over the neighbour’s fences to each other,” Daniels said.
