Victoria situation ‘critical’ as hundreds of NSW residents in isolation | Sky News AustraliaUp to 250 residents in New South Wales have been forced into isolation after a man who tested positive for COVID-19 visited several locations in the state’s south last month. \n\nOf the 243 people deemed by contact tracers as close contacts, 129 are in relation to Trapper’s Bakery in Goulburn, 55 to Cooked Goose in Hyams Beach and 41 to Jervis Bay’s Green Patch campground.\n\nA further 11 close contacts are in connection to Coles in Vicentia while seven people are connected to Shell Coles Express Big Merino in Goulburn are also currently self-isolating.\n\nChief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant confirmed ‘stop and stay’ provisions have been put in place requiring contacts to isolate and get tested until further advice is provided by NSW Health.\n\n NSW health officials continue to work with their Victorian counterparts to determine the timing of the onset of illness.\n\n“Clearly the situation in Victoria continues to evolve and it does highlight the fact we need people to come forward for testing,” Dr Chant said.\n\n“It is critical, particularly if you’ve been in those general areas of that case, but also across NSW, it is critical to test.”\n
