Viewers were fuming
It was a nail-biting episode with a lot of money at stake but the outcome of Tuesday's episode of The Chase didn't turn out as fans of the show had expected and viewers were fuming. Some critics even declared the quizzers had been 'robbed' of £52,000.
Contestants Charlie, Catherine, Heidi and Antony would be taking on Mark Labbett in a bid to win a cash prize and the team seemed confident. The quizzers had never met before appearing on the show but they gave a strong team performance and all players progressed to the final Chase. Catherine opted to take the higher offer of £38,000 before she navigated her way past the Beast to substantially boost the cash haul.
Bradley asked: "Leap of Faith is a memoir by which Italian jockey? "Charlie answered "Franco Dettori". However, Bradley said the answer was wrong as the legendary jockey is known as Frankie Dettori.
