Easily accessible, this lovely, clean sandy beach has one of only nine Blue Flags awarded to beaches in Cornwall. There is a seaside café, a car park and loos. Nearby, Queen Mary Gardens, which are home to subtropical plants, are good for a saunter. Further along is Swanpool beach and nature reserve, linked via the South West Coast Path.The high street is where you will find most of the shops, but for interesting boutiques, head off to the side roads and especially Church Street.
