One Nation leader Pauline Hanson says the upcoming Queensland election be will be a referendum on the way Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has handled the COVID-19 crisis in the state. “She’s actually played this very well,” Ms Hanson told Sky News host Peter Gleeson.
Ms Hanson said the media reports of the the danger of COVID-19 incited fear in Queenslanders. She said many of the deaths recorded as a COVID-19 death were of people who died with coronavirus, not necessarily because of it. “That concerns me greatly because I think that has been used politically which … is so wrong,” Ms Hanson said.
