There is an all-star cast for the upcoming show, including Line of Duty star Daniel Mays, The Island’s Alexandros Logothetis and My Mad Fat Diary star, Claire Rushbrook.While Timothy Spall was originally cast as Atticus Pünd, he has since been replaced by Tim McMullan due to a scheduling clash. The actor has previously starred in shows including The Crown, Brexit and Patrick Melrose.
Chatting about the project, he told Variety: “I’m absolutely loving doing Magpie Murders. Anthony has written such a brilliant and beguiling script, full of wit, suspense and murder. It’s an immense privilege to be asked to bring to life the wonderful and enigmatic Atticus Pünd. He’s such a great character to play, I feel very fortunate indeed.
