With a third potential matchup looming in the playoffs, can Dallas close the gap between the two sides?
Philadelphia being the better team doesn’t mean the Eagles will beat Dallas in the playoffs when they should meet in the divisional round. As former Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington used to say all the time, “It’s not the best team that wins, it’s the team that plays the best that day.” Hurts, who missed the game with a sprained shoulder, has thrown five interceptions in 425 attempts this season. Dak has thrown eight interceptions in his last 164 attempts, spanning the last five games.
Miles Sanders lost a fumble for only the second time this season. And we aren’t even going to talk about the 3rd-and-30 conversion because that’s insane. What was equally insane, but didn’t draw nearly as much attention, is the 3rd-and-5 from the Dallas 48, the possession following Josh Sweat’s pick-six on Dallas’ opening drive. Philadelphia pressured Dak and nearly sacked him.
