The OpenFit earbuds by Shokz might not look the best, but they certainly feel the best of any earbuds we’ve ever reviewed.
We thought this would be a review of a second pair of earbuds that certain people could own, to help them stay alive while exercising outdoors.still keep an ear out for quietly oncoming traffic, might appeal to some minority of readers who run.
For starters, Shokz has some directional stuff going on with the speakers, to help ensure that they don’t disturb everyone around you when you’re listening to music. But we think the OpenFit earbuds are much better than that, so good you could easily find yourself wearing them in preference to everything else you own and saving your fancy noise-cancelling earbuds for rare occasions.In several decades of reviewing headphones and earbuds, the Shokz OpenFit are by far the most comfortable we’ve ever tested – so comfortable that, after about five minutes, you can completely forget you’re wearing them.
It’s a little magical, like you’re in your very own movie with your very own soundtrack playing in the background.But it’s also another reason you would swap these unusual earbuds out for something a little more common. If you’re on a train or a bus, or if you have some co-worker that won’t stop yapping away at the desk next to you, and you actuallyneed to separate yourself from your environment, the open-ear listening design of the Shokz OpenFit is the wrong choice.
