Victorians who have had both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination could be granted freedoms before the state reaches 70 per cent of the population with one jab, Premier Daniel Andrews revealed.

Government and health authorities are working on a"some pilots" that could give Victorians who are fully vaccinated more freedoms earlier.

“That might seem a bit harsh, but I‘ve said this before and I will make the point again, I am not going to lock down the whole state down to protect people who wouldn’t protect themselves.” "Not everywhere and not at full capacity, but some outdoor drinking and dining, things like that will be absolutely possible and the preference will be it may only be for those who are double dosed vaccinated,” Mr Andrews said.

"There may be some other things I've mentioned outdoor recreational activities, things of that nature."
