Homecare expert and author Lynsey Crombie, best known as Lynsey Queen of Clean, has shared her top tips for when common air fresheners just won't cut it. Lynsey took questions from fans while speaking on all things scrubbing and dusting, at a cleaning festival, aptly titled "The House of Hacks". A pet owner in attendance at the Wilko event found themselves dealing with the less than pleasant odour of 'wet dog', a scent we can all agree won't be released as a candle any time soon. They had a springer spaniel and a Jack Russell, and confirmed they were both rather fond of jumping up on the sofa, the Mirror reports.

Lynsey advised: "You need to have a good fabric refresher product, and you can make your own as well. By making your own product, you've got bicarbonate of soda, water, and your favourite essential oils. Spray on the sofa and spray on the pets' beds.
