The gentrification of Sydney’s inner west is giving well-heeled buyers more options to consider – as this $6.85 million sale of a Newtown terrace shows.

Their house in Redfern was a stepping stone to get into Paddington; that house in Paddington was a bit like Goldilocks and the three bears – too big – then they went to Woollahra and that house was bit too small. The idea was to see if we could achieve a price [similar to what] it would achieve in the eastern suburbs. I feel we definitely did that and well deserved to the vendor for creating such a beautiful home and trusting in the process.

One is going to look at another house with me in the same area, same category and price on Friday. They’re still keen.
