The first and only Bulldogs player contacted by incoming head coach Cameron Ciraldo was inspirational skipper Josh Jackson.

Jackson has forged close bonds with all of his previous coaches, including Des Hasler, Dean Pay and Trent Barrett, and knows Ciraldo will lean heavily on his experience as he takes time to get settled into his first head-coaching gig. Jackson, who spent time under Hasler, Pay and Barrett, as well as interim coaches Steve Georgallis and Mick Potter, said of Ciraldo’s appointment: “I like the five-year deal because it takes a coach a while to bring in the people and players he wants, and to get the structures in place they want.
