Roy Keane has doubled down on his comments that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is like a 'League Two player' in his general play.
Another big game without an Erling Haaland goal means the criticism is heading his way about what he offers Manchester City. Because his 82 goals and 15 assists in 90 games isn't enough.
"His general play, week in, week out is nowhere near good enough. As a goal scorer and a striker, the best – and I said that. His link-up play, the way he lays the ball off, sometimes the options he gives his teammates or the options he doesn't give them – as a striker and a goal scorer the best in the world, but his other play is that of a League Two player.
Then take the Arsenal and Madrid games. Haaland was man-marked out of both, but it allowed space for others. Maybe that was harder to find against Arsenal, but against Madrid Phil Foden regularly found pockets on the edge of the area, as did Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish.
