State of Origin: Blues centre Joseph Suaalii speaks to the media the morning after a devastating Origin debate that saw him sent off after just 7 minutes.
TO borrow one of SuperCoach Wayne Bennett’s favourite lines State of Origin I was a classic case of the good, the bad and the ugly.
First the good. There were plenty of gun performers in both sides but the three Queensland players who were the best on ground were captain Daly Cherry-Evans, hooker Ben Hunt and fill-in fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow. Defensively the Bulldogs captain was an absolute rock and then still found the energy to equally threaten the Maroons every time he ran the football.
What a player Hunt is when it comes to the representative arena. The Queensland no.9 sealed the win with a smart play down a short side out of dummy-half to ice the result with his second try for the evening.
